We recommend not getting more than four piercings in one session, especially if you’re getting them on the same ear. Getting multiple piercings can also cause increased swelling during healing and can prolong healing time.

Piercing gun It is relatively less painful and has the same aftercare as a needle piercing. However, if you have sensitive ears, the trauma to your skin or an incompetent piercer can lead to an infection or a slow healing process.
Is it OK if shampoo touches the piercing?
To avoid infection, keep your hands and anything that touches your new piercing CLEAN. We don’t expect you to stop using hair products during your healing period, but we DO recommend protecting your new piercing from exposure to hair spray and other styling products, including shampoo and conditioner.

Don’t eat spicy, salty or acidy foods or liquids while you are healing. Avoid hot drinks such as hot chocolate, coffee, and tea. Eat cold foods and drinks as they lessen swelling. Be extra careful when eating crunchy foods.

Your sweat is sterile to you, so shower like you normally do and clean the piercing afterwards with saline or sterile wound wash. Do not swim in rivers, lakes, hot tubs, pools, or oceans until your piercing is healed.

Soft, bland foods — like applesauce and yogurt — are preferred. French kissing and oral sex are off-limits during this time. You can do a salt rinse to help minimize any pain and swelling. Ready-made rinses may be available for purchase from your piercer, or you can make your own at home.
